Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has been able to make significant progress towards Latin pop. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. In the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached No. 8. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. Mala Influencia was his collaborative effort with Noriel in the year 2020. Following that year, Dopamina became his second album. He also was as a duo TINI for her viral online track Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was brought up in a music-oriented environment because both his mother and younger brother are musicians. In interviews, Turizo stated that music is an essential part of his life. When he was young, he taught to play the piano, guitar and ukulele. Although his first choice of career was to become a veterinarian His brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with an Cuban teacher and the end result personally discovering his talent as a performer changed the course of his life.
