Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. Growing up, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as traditional Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos and all dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, then began more intense training in singing when she was 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. After relocating in the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in the southern part of California. She's a regular solo performer at private parties and events and performs classical Latin American Music. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of art and music has her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to bring to others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to continue the tradition.
